I am a freelancer in ELT (English Language Teaching): teacher trainer, writer, blogger, conference speaker, consultant, etc.
I enjoy reading, writing and talking about complexity theory, critical methodologies and the philosophy of education.
My most recent concern is the interplay between teacher cognition (esp. that of novice teachers) and macro social structures that penetrate classroom life. It is with this investigation underway that I’m pursuing an MA in Education (University of Bath).
Other recent activities include: co-authoring Real Communication: Culture Reading (Macmillan/FLTRP), joining the committee of IATEFL Teacher Development SIG, and qualifying as a British Council online teacher trainer.
